AI labour market observatory
What employers ask for when they recruit for artificial intelligence skills: which roles, in which sectors, at what advertised salaries. We read it in the adverts they publish and report it in dated reports, with the method set out next to the figures.

The product
osserver.ai collects job adverts, mostly from employers' own careers pages, and turns them into reports. Reports are read in the portal, after signing in.
- Monthly report: for one geographical area, how many adverts ask for AI skills and in which role families, compared with previous months.
- Sector reports: employers in the same market compared on the adverts they publish.
- Role profiles, on request: what employers recruiting for a role ask for and the salaries they advertise.
- AI exposure index, on request: for each business function, the share of adverts asking for AI skills.
Who it is for
- HR directors who need to understand how demand for AI-skilled profiles is changing.
- Executive search and recruitment firms that want market data to bring to their clients.
- ICT and innovation directors planning skills and headcount.
- Trade associations and sector observatories.
What you get
- The share of adverts asking for AI skills: by area, with a month-on-month comparison; by sector and by function, over the period of the report.
- The salaries advertised, published when they rest on at least 20 cases.
- For a role, the most requested skills and the level and years of experience required.
- For clients, a private area with dedicated reports, which can be co-branded.
Data and method
Adverts come mostly from employers' own careers pages. Some come from intermediaries that republish them, such as agencies and job aggregators.
An advert "asks for AI skills" when its text names artificial intelligence as a requirement or as part of the role. An automatic rule, the same in every report, looks next to each mention of AI for the words that make it a requirement.
Salaries are those stated in the adverts: the employer's offer, which may differ from what is eventually paid. They are reported in euros at European Central Bank reference rates; for the few currencies outside the ECB list, at an indicative rate.
Shares of adverts asking for AI and salaries calculated on fewer than 20 cases appear as "n/a": a sample that small would give a misleading figure.
Every report states the period it covers and the date on which it was calculated.
